Cabinet Photo Maude Arcelia, Iva and Dorr Hatch My grandmother told me that the children in this photo were her mother, Maude A. HATCH, and Maude's sister and brother, Iva Dell and Dorr. Well, she had it partly right. The children were Maude's brother and sister, alright, but what she didn't realize was that the two young children with Maude were not Iva and Dorr. They were two other siblings who died young. My grandmother died without knowing of their existence. She had labeled the photo with the names of two younger children in this family of six. The young girl on the left turns out to be Hazel A., who was born in 1881. She died on Jan 24, 1890 at 8 years old. Sadly, her father, Elmer HATCH, died one week later.
The young boy on the right is Glenn N. HATCH born Feb 11, 1882 and died Mar 23, 1883 at just over 13 months old. He must have died shortly after this photo was taken.
