Frances Adele Porter was born in April 1894, the daughter of Albert P W Porter and Mary E Hyouit. She married Clarence Woodward in Ticonderoga, Essex Co, New York, about 1910 and had 7 children, before Clarence died in 1922. Frances 2nd married Clarence H Manning, in 1922 and had 2 more children, before she died in 1946 in Putnam, New York.

The notation in the prayer book reads:
"Carl hurt his leg in front of house on corner of Cossey St. on Saturday after noon at 6:00 o.clock July 1, 1933. About 12 stitches were taken in it by Dr. M. E. Sargent."
NOTE: Carl refers to Charles W Manning, known as Carl, born Oct 04, 1923, the son of Frances (Porter, Woodward) Manning, by her marriage to Clarence Clarence H. Manning. He would have been 9 years old, at the time of his injury.
