Bessie Alice Roberts was born in December 1889 in Sugarloaf twp, Luzerne Co, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Samuel Paul Roberts and Mary Catherine Welliver. She married Robert Wandel on Apr 24, 1918. They had two sons, Russell and Sheldon Roberts. Robert died on Oct 9, 1926, just eight and a half years after their marriage. Bessie married second to Emerson J Waterstripe on Feb 22, 1944. He was born on Aug 23, 1883 in Clarence, Missouri and died in Oct 1965. Bessie died Jun 20, 1968
