WARNINGS OUT
OF MT. HOLLY, RUTLAND CO, VERMONT

"WARNINGS OUT"

from the town of Mt. Holly, Rutland County, Vermont, dated March 23, AD 1807. It is unknown the exact reason for the warnings out, however, among the most common reasons are that the family is unable to pay their way; or they are planning to move to another town, or state; and they are asked to leave if they are considered incorigibles, who were no longer welcome in town. It is likely, in this case, a move was planned since migration was common for this family.
