Nathan Sargent (spelled Sergeant) was born Apr 08, 1834 in Brandon, Rutland Co, Vermont, the son of Timothy C. and Mercy (Church) Sargent. He married Margaret Wood on Aug 23, 1860 in DeKalb Co, Illinois. He died Jul 21, 1925 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, Floyd Co, Iowa. To the left of their tombstone, is "Mercy" and to the right is "Mother".

Mercy (Church) Sargent was born abt. March 7, 1803 in Vermont. About 1833, she married Timothy C. Sargent. She died Mar 25, 1881 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, Floyd Co, Iowa, beside her son, Nathan Sargent (spelled Sergeant).
