Helen Elizabeth Fleming was born about 1851 in Ticonderoga, Essex Co, New York, the daughter of William Stewart and Sylvia Porter Fleming. From Sally Watters: "The portrait is of their daughter Helen Elizabeth who died at age 19 shortly after being engaged to be married. It is on display at the Hancock House, home of the Ticonderoga Historical Society."
