Died: At Hurley, October 2, of congestion of the kidneys, Mr. Enoch Sargent, aged 71 years, 11 months and 6 days.
Mr. Sargent was born in Rutland Co, Vermont. His parents moved to N.Y. when he was quite young, and later to Pennsylvania where he remained until he came to Turner County, in 1873, which has been his home since that time. He leaves a wife and three sons, his widow now residing in Erie Co., Pennsylvania, Uncle Enoch always had a pleasant word for all he met, and he will be greatly missed.

The only other Sargents buried there are two infants:
"Infant Son of GF and WB Sargent* 1899-1899" (He died at birth.)
and "Leslie" son of Mr. and Mrs. Junia Sargent
died Feb. 1, 1899, aged 2 months and 5 days

*"GF" is Glenn B, and "WB" is his wife, Willow B.
The Negus lot, Block C, Lot 42, is next to the Sargent lot. It was purchased by Thomas R. Negus June 9, 1885. Buried there are Harry Negus of Jamestown, N.D. age 27, died Jan. 9, 1917, Annie A. Negus, aged 57, died 8-8-1909 of cancer in Supesnum ? North Dakota. Thos. R. Negus, age 78, d. 5-6-1929, from Mr. Vernon, Ore., by C.W. Negus, father.
