Samantha Hopkins was born to Thomas Hopkins and Samantha Fuller on May 1, 1837 in Wayne Co., New York. She married Ezra Merritt Shaw in 1861 in New York and had three children between Dec. 1862 and Sept. 1870. Samantha died Dec. 24, 1910 in Hillsdale, Hillsdale Co., Michigan.
