Albert was admitted to New York Hospital, Manhattan, NY, on Feb. 4, 1913 and died three days later of infection of the gall bladder, on Feb. 7, 1913. He was buried in Buffalo, Erie Co, New York on Feb. 10, 1913. Though his mother was listed as Eleanor Von Zuccalmaglio on his birth record, his death certificate lists her as Laura Schmidt. The reason is unknown but most likely an error by hospital staff, or Schmidt was substituted, by Albert, for the longer name of Von Zuccalmaglio, for convenience and to avoid a "spelling lesson".
