David Northum Hatch was born to Thomas Davis Hatch and Irene Maranda Wells on May 21, 1819 in Granville, Washington Co, New York. He married Eliza Ann Fitzgerald on July 29, 1845 in New York. They had 7 children between Dec. 1846 and Aug. 1861, all born in New York except the last, born in Frontier, Hillsdale Co, Michigan. Eliza died just 4 months after the birth of her last child. David married a few months later and again in 1881. He died March 10, 1898 in Frontier, Woodbridge twp, Hillsdale Co, Michigan, where he is buried in the Frontier Cemetery.
