It is widely believed that Seth Paul Benson died in Lenawee County, Michigan, but he didn't. In 1928, after the death of his wife, Clarissa, Seth Paul Benson left Onondaga Co, New York, to live with his sons in Lenawee Co, Michigan. He eventually purchased land in Madison twp, Lenawee Co, Michigan and married a second time to Mary Unknown, before 1850. We can only speculate why Seth Paul Benson was in Fulton, Gratiot County, Michigan, however, on Apr 17, 1867, he died there, after suffering a fall from a horse, reportedly at age 85 years and 20 days, although his accepted date of birth conflicts by 4 months.
