Rachel Anna Benson was born June 30, 1869, the daughter of Samuel Clark Benson and Melissa Todd. She married Charles L. Purchis on Aug 15, 1887. He was born Aug 15, 1864. Rachel "Anna" and Charles adopted and raised their son, Franklin Purchis.
