Miriam Elaine Farver was born on September 12, 1921, in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan and died on Monday, January 28, 2008, in Mason, Ingham Co., Michigan, after a short illness. Miriam was the second child born to Lloyd Leroy and Ruth (Christian) Farver, of Berwick and Bloomsburg, Columbia Co., Pennsylvania. Her paternal grandparents were Gaylord George Farver and Cora Eliza Harvey and her maternal grandparents were Harry Orman Christian and Ella Lillian Sponenberg, all of Columbia Co., Pennsylvania.

Miriam attended the Flint public schools from which she graduated. For a time, she worked at AC Sparkplug, in Flint, Michigan. On Apr 25, 1944, Miriam first married Yovan "John" Dadovich in Chapel 2, Camp White, Rogue Valley, Jackson Co, Oregon. He was born in 1922, in French waters, onboard ship from Yugoslavia (Serbia) to the United States. He was the son of Yelena Dadovich, born August 4, 1901 in Mitrovica, Yugoslavia. Miriam divorced John Dadovich shortly after the birth of her first child, John Michael Dadovich. She then married Raymond George Fairman in Flint, MI, on Dec. 22, 1945, where she gave birth to three more children: Kenneth Raymond Fairman; Sheila Elaine (Fairman) Rials and Sharon Michele (Fairman) Graham. In 1962, they moved to Haslett, MI, where they operated a small grocery and gas station, later called the Little Country Store, remaining there until 1980. She then moved to Hemet, CA and shortly after, ended her marriage to Raymond. On November 22, 1997 in California, she married a third time, to Vern Leroy Johnston. Soon after his death in 2002, Miriam returned to live at the home of her daughter, in Mason, Ingham Co., Michigan, until her death on January 28, 2008. At her request, her body was cremated and no public funeral was held.
